Doug

Doug is a qualified physiotherapist who graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Essex in 2023. He completed his junior rotations in a large acute hospital, where he gained broad clinical experience treating a wide range of patients across acute medicine, care of the elderly, ITU/respiratory, and orthopaedics.

Following this, Doug progressed into a senior physiotherapy role, including a period working on the stroke unit, further developing his clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills. He then went on to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, where he focuses on evidence-based assessment, personalised treatment plans, and helping patients return to meaningful activity and long-term function.

Doug takes a patient-centred approach to care and is passionate about empowering individuals through education, exercise, and practical rehabilitation strategies to achieve sustainable outcomes.

Outside of physiotherapy, Doug enjoys playing and watching football. He is a regular at Portman Road on matchdays, proudly supporting the Tractor Boys.
