MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration), BSc (Hons) Exercise, Health & Sports Performance

Ben has recently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy, building on a BSc in Exercise, Health and Sports Performance. Combining a performance science background with clinical training gives him a well-rounded approach to assessment, rehabilitation and return to activity.

During his training, Ben completed placements in orthopaedics, musculoskeletal (MSK) and neurological paediatrics, giving him experience across a wide range of conditions and age groups. Prior to this, Ben worked as a personal trainer, which developed his skills in exercise prescription, coaching and motivating people towards their goals.

Ben's main role is objective strength and movement testing using VALD ForceDecks and dynamometry. These tools measure force, power, balance and side-to-side differences, giving clients clear data on how their body is performing. Using his clinical reasoning, Ben interprets the results in the context of each person's history and goals, explains them in plain language, and uses them to guide rehab and training. This suits everyone from athletes tracking progress to people recovering from injury or surgery who want to see measurable improvement.

Outside of work, Ben is a lifelong football fan and West Ham supporter who plays multiple times a week, and also trains in boxing. Ben understands first-hand the demands of sport on the body, and enjoys helping others stay active and performing at their best.
